WTB Moar Flightpaths!

Posted in WoW Adventures on January 9, 2010 by Valgav

So, I’ve been leveling a ret pally on The Forgoten Coast (US) realm as of late. Well I hit level 50, so as customary, I headed to the Plaguelands the grind out some easy levels. I could go on and on about those zones and how much I love them– especially when leveling a pally, but that’s for another post.

All I want to say is this: the new FP’s at the Bulwark and at the Thondoril River are the best things added to the game since flying mounts. No more running from the UC flight path, through the keep and over to the Bulwark. No more running from the Bulwark all the way to Light’s Hope Chapel. (or from the Bulwark to the UC fp, to fly there.) Two of the greatest couple of zones in the game are now fun and convenient.

That is all.

This is part two of an ongoing study of my characters, how I play them, and as an extension… who I am. Previous toons can be found in the Character Junk category. So without further ado let us move on. Continue reading

The Stable – My toons Part 1

Posted in Character Junk on January 5, 2010 by Valgav

For anyone who reads this blog, I’ve decided that perhaps you might like to know about me and how I play. Well, the tricky thing is that I am a tried and true rpg dork at my core, so even though I don’t actually WoW rp, it still shows. Each of my toons has a different personality and each puts me in a seperate mindset. To best get my point across, I will begin explaining my characters one at a time. Continue reading

Though maybe a little late to the party, I have picked up on the holiday season gift topic exchange started by Tamarind over at Righteous Orbs and received a topic from Syrana over at Sideshow and Syrana. =D Continue reading

Axe vs Sword

Posted in Class Stuff on December 30, 2009 by Valgav

Alright, so this is the quandary. I’m currently wielding Edge of Ruin from ToC, and before that I carried the Colossal Skull-Clad Cleaver for some time. I’ve been tempted to just drop a bunch of gold and pick up a battered hilt (or if I find the time, just repeatedly run the ICC five mans and hope for the best.) and get me a Quel’Delar, Might of the Faithful. The problem is abandoning the 5% crit I get as with Poleaxe Specialization (and the orc racial expertise) for the occasional extra sword swing from Sword Specialization.

This is not the problem you might think it is. I’m really not concerned with min/maxing my stats just right, or weasling every little point of DPS I can get. I play fast and loose with my stats, and if I can succeed with what I have, it’s good enough. The problem is a bit more ‘RP-esque’. To truly understand you’d have to know a few things. Just what the internet needs, another WoW blog. Well, you know what? Mine’s gonna be different. Okay, no it won’t, I’ll parade my achievements and acquisitions around just like everyone else. I do promise to try and be at least witty most of the time. Continue reading
